The church exists to glorify God, to take the good news of Jesus Christ to others and to grow together in faith and love towards fulfilment in Jesus Christ.

St Ninian's Eco group

The group aims to raise awareness of concerns relating to creation and to explore through prayers, scripture and Christianity writing how we can make informed choices in our congregational and individual lives.

We address issues under the heading of:

Fairtrade

We publicise and have relevant activities during fair-trade fortnight and we are pleased to confirm that we now have fair trade status.

Animal welfare

The group distributes information and practical suggestions in way to support good animal husbandry, to purchase products not tested on animals and to encourage the use of non-animal research in medicine

The Environment

So far, as a church, we comply with the local councils recycling scheme and put aside tea-bags coffee grounds and such into compost caddies to be used for garden compost.

The group would like the church to have a green audit carried out by the end of the year.

We have also taken on an allotment which we will work free of artificial fertilisers or pesticides.
